The Jane Goodall Institute presents "A Vision for Hope", a day-long celebration of how personal action can be a substantial and positive force for making the world around us better. The event, scheduled for Saturday 6 June, promises to be an exciting, meaningful and fun exchange of ideas and visions highlighting the ability of youth to bring about a healthier environment, a more equitable society, and a place where man and nature can coexist.
About Jane Goodall and the Jane Goodall Institute
Dr Jane Goodall is one of the world's foremost scientists. She has dramatically changed the way we look at the place of humanity in nature through her pioneering research on the chimpanzees of the Gombe Forest Reserve in Tanzania. Not only is Dr Goodall a leading scholar, she is also a humanitarian who has dedicated her life to society as well as to science.
Roots and Shoots, an offshoot of the Jane Goodall Institute, is an organisation that encourages young people all over the world to engage in projects that help animals, protect the environment, and serve our communities. "A Vision of Hope" is an embodiment of Jane Goodall's vision, and provides an opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and to master skills that can empower young citizens to be agents of positive change.
